Ingredients
- Beef Strip Steak (14 ounce)
- Mozzarella Cheese (2 tablespoon, shredded)
- Basil (2 tablespoon, chopped)
- Cherry Tomato (2 cherry)
- Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)
- Salt (¼ teaspoon)
- Black Pepper (⅛ teaspoon)
Instructions
- Lay each 7-ounce steak between two sheets of plastic wrap and hammer with a meat mallet or rolling pin to about ¼ inch thick. Season generously on both sides.
- Tear the basil leaves evenly between the two steaks.
- Roughly chop the tomatoes into small chunks and arrange between the two steaks, covering just over one half of each steak only (leaving room to roll).
- Tear the mozzarella and scatter over the tomatoes.
- Roll the filled side of the steak over, keeping it tightly rolled until it overlaps with the other side, creating a neat tube. Secure each steak with two tooth picks.
